PDC Announces New Silicone Wristbands to Promote National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Valencia, CA (Sep. 4, 2013) PDC, the global leader of innovative identification solutions, has launched a new line of pink silicone breast cancer awareness wristbands adorned with ribbon symbols and the uplifting phrase, “Hope, Strength, Courage,” to promote National Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. According to the U.S. Breast Cancer Statistics, one in eight women will develop breast cancer over the course of a lifetime.

“PDC’s Breast Cancer Awareness Wristbands are a small way that people can show their support for the mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters, and friends who are bravely battling breast cancer,” said Edwin Baljeu, Sales and Marketing Manager for PDC. “They serve as a symbol of hope and are a positive conversation starter that helps people come together and support a greater cause.”

PDC’s Breast Cancer Awareness Wristbands provide a simple solution for fundraising and special events. Non-profits, support groups, sports teams, and other groups can sell the wristbands for a set amount of funds and donate the money to a charity, such as the National Breast Cancer Coalition, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, or another charitable organization of choice.

Available in packs of 100, the rewearable wristbands are manufactured from 100% pink silicone and are durable enough to be worn during the entire month-long observance. The soft and comfortable wristbands are available in both adult (8”) and child (7”) sizes. The wristbands are in stock and ready to ship the next business day after ordering. The ribbon icons and inspirational “Hope, Strength, Courage” slogan are debossed into the wristbands’ surface and filled with white ink—making the message clear, noticeable and long lasting.

In addition to silicone, PDC offers non-transferable Breast Cancer Awareness Wristbands made from sturdy plastic and lightweight Tyvek®. These pink wristbands are available in a variety of patterns, such as ribbon icons, specially designed for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Precision Dynamics-St. John Rebrands Company to Become PDC

Valencia, CA (April 29, 2013) Precision Dynamics-St. John, the global leader of innovative identification solutions, announced today that it has rebranded its business to better serve customers. Precision Dynamics Corporation, the company’s original trade name, will become PDC and feature separate and distinctive brands for its two main businesses in Healthcare and Leisure/Entertainment/ Security. As part of the rebranding, PDC has launched five new websites targeted to the company’s separate markets.

PDC connects people, products, and technology through innovative ID solutions that deliver superior customer experiences worldwide. The company’s products and services provide safe and efficient patient care, as well as patron, inmate, and animal identification. PDC’s innovative solutions incorporate automatic identification technologies, including bar code, RFID, and QR code.

As part of PDC’s rebranding, its Healthcare business will be called PDC Healthcare, employing the tagline “Where positive identification meets safe, efficient patient care.” The tagline communicates the vital connection of positive identification to the safety and efficiency of patient care—a service that PDC has provided to healthcare organizations since 1956, when it originated the first single-piece patient wristband.

The company’s Leisure/Entertainment/ Security business will retain the PDC name, incorporating the tagline “innovative ID solutions” to represent the company’s advanced identification technologies that serve the entertainment, hospitality, festival, and security industries.

“Based on the unique focus of our two businesses, the rebranding is a logical step in the global development of our company,” said Tracey Carpentier, President of PDC. “The new structure enables each business to deliver a more targeted and relevant message to the separate customer groups they serve. We preferred to maintain the PDC name, which has been synonymous with high quality and innovative products and services for over 55 years. There’s significant customer mindshare invested in the PDC name.”

Central to the rebranding are PDC’s “brand pillars,” which define the company’s key performance attributes that are most important to customers: Innovation, Credibility, Customer Focus, Service, Quality, and Accessibility. The superior standards of quality that PDC delivers in these areas distinguish and differentiate it from competitors. The logos for the two businesses share the same basic design with blue typography offset by a colorful linear lined graphic, which resembles a bar code pattern. The modern design conveys the characteristics of innovation, technology, progression, and diversity.

As part of the rebranding initiative, PDC has launched five new websites that provide more informational resources, improved navigation and search features, and upgraded ordering capabilities for customers and online visitors.

In addition to its websites, PDC is rolling out new branding to customers via targeted email and direct mail campaigns. For more information regarding rebranding, please call 661.257.0233 ext. 1340 (North America & Latin America) or +32 67 89 56 56 (Europe).
